A man fishing on the bank of a Welsh reservoir disappears presumed drowned, after a meteor impacts close to the site. A week later the man reappears at the reservoir, confused, bewildered, not remembering anything about the seven days he has totally lost.

Morton Scientific Investigation team, engaged to give a second opinion on the meteor are soon embroiled in a fascinating and deadly chase from the Brecon Beacons all the way to Cumbria to locate a foe that can remain out of sight but not out of mind!
