The destiny of the Mars colony and the outcome of the war with the Arethusans are intertwined in Georgia Pyke’s head, and she is yet to realize it.

Three turbulent years since Georgia left Mars behind, assisting the enigmatic Jillnap in the Confederacy’s war against the Arethusans, she is a shell of her past self.

The war effort has taken a terrible toll on her. Prophetic temporal foresight, as Jillnap’s scientists call her ability to see versions of the future, has proved to be a double-edged sword. Although Georgia’s talent has saved millions of lives across the galaxy, she first must first endure death and destruction on a monumental scale. Exhausted and isolated, she is at breaking point.

Despite Jillnaps’s best efforts, it is only a matter of time before the enemy discover who she is and her location in interstellar space. Now they are coming for her. Angry, and confused, Georgia is determined to prevent the Arethusans from capturing her and using her skills to benefit their ambitions of a galactic empire.

A sudden loss confirms her suspicions of a traitor close to her. Whilst the answer to uncovering who it may be lies on the surface of Mars, is it a mistake to draw attention to the solar system once more? Especially when humanity’s attempts to defend itself end in tragedy.
