A very different and thought-provoking read, this was proofread in September.

Would you abandon your family to save yourself?

The Day She Came Home is the first in the series of contemporary family dramas by Emma Dhesi.

Nicola left her family and began a new life on a remote Scottish island. She thought she’d left her old life behind her, but the desire to reconnect with her son is too strong. She must find a way to get a second chance.

Ross’ wife abandoned him and their son. After four years she turns up out of the blue and asks for a second chance, but that bridge has been burnt. Hasn’t it?

Stephen and Mary are devastated when their long-lost daughter returns and accuses them of the most horrific crimes. But as Stephen always said, no one would believe her.

Would you?

If you like Jodi Picoult, Lisa Jewell or Carol Mason, you’ll love this compelling page-turner by Emma Dhesi.

Grab your copy today to find out if she gets a second chance.

Another busy and very enjoyable month—ten projects totalling 648,000 words—with a wonderful variety of novels, November began with Synnöve: The King’s Cup Bearer by Caroline Goldsworthy, a historical murder mystery set in Anglo-Saxon times and was followed by Richard A. Swingle‘s The Heart Thief, a lovely fantasy story.

Graham H Miller‘s crime thriller, Buzzard House, the second in the Jonah Greene series followed for a complete change of pace, and then another complete change of genre with Katherine a delightful Regency romance set in Cornwall, by Jenny Hambly.

Michelle Vernal‘s humorous tale of life in the sunny Greek islands, Staying at Eleni’s was a refreshing break from the constant dreary, wet weather that has been a constant in the UK for two months, and then another change of pace with Urcelia Teixeira‘s archaeological thriller, The Bari Bones, and a re-edit of one of John Carson‘s DI Frank Miller detective stories.

Another detective story followed with Recompense, the second in the DCI Carlson series by Caroline Goldsworthy and this will be published in the next couple of weeks. Another action packed thriller Play With Fire by Solomon Carter was next, the third in the latest Eva and Dan trilogy and will be released shortly.

Finally, the month was rounded off with a short story by Michelle Vernal, an unexpected treat for fans of the O’Mara’s Guesthouse on the Green series, New Year’s Eve with the O’Maras.
