The final novel in this thirteen-book series was one of the earliest editing jobs I did for Solomon Carter back in December 2015!
Smoke rises on the horizon.
Dan Bradley and Eva Roberts arrive back in their home town after a chaotic case to discover their office has been burned to the ground. Physically exhausted and living under the shadow of their enemy, they must now track down the arsonist who has destroyed their base of operations. Dan has his suspicions. On the brink of collapse, Eva finds the bottle has never been more appealing.
Dan sets out to prove that the main suspects are innocent while Eva goes it alone to search for evidence to convict their nemesis. But when Dan is suddenly removed from the picture, Eva’s fate seems sealed… and Rowntree gets ever closer to realising his deepest, darkest desire.
The game is rigged… The rules are changing… and eyes watch from the shadows. LTD13 Lucky for Some – Could it finally be checkmate for Eva Roberts?
One thing is certain -, private detectives Roberts and Bradley will need a damn sight more than luck to survive this final battle…
The finale to the series, edited in November 2016.
The Victors know nothing but war. It has shaped them and changed them in ways that they didn’t think possible.
Now is not the time to lament on the friends lost, the wounds gained. The medics might be able to patch them up, but they can’t heal their minds.
Harmony is making their play for Earth, and the Troopers will be there to greet them. The Victors are finally going home over 200 years since they left for Sacremon.
The last system-wide battle between the EHC and Harmony is about to begin.
The fourth in this enjoyable Harmony War series, edited in September 2016.
Mark and Tyler Victor have fought Harmony from Masoul to Osdal. They’ve lost friends, shed blood and tears and now they’re headed for one of Harmony’s strongholds-Fernix.
Osdal left Mark a changed man, a man not just looking to keep his people alive, but a man looking to avenge the only woman that cared for him.
He has nothing to lose but his life, something he would gladly give to destroy Harmony.
The third in the Harmony War series, edited in August 2016.
Masoul wasn’t just an uprising, it was the starting of a war. Harmony didn’t start on Masoul; they were using it as a testing ground.
Moretti has a lead on where Harmony might have come from. First they need to defeat Harmony’s forces in Osdal.
Nerva’s not going to throw his people at Harmony, this is not just a colonist uprising, this is a well-armed and backed military. They need more information. It comes down to the Triple-Two’s to find out that information.
Once again the Victor brothers and their platoon will be right at the heart of Harmony.
A change of genre for me in September 2016 with Masoul, the second in the Harmony War series. It’s a long time since I read any science fiction, but I thoroughly enjoyed this series.
The EMFC Reclaimer returns home to the Sol System, its people still fresh from combat. The crew are in for some much needed R&R as they take on fresh reinforcements. But leave is cut short when an encoded message arrives.
The EMF at Masoul are facing something that no one saw; they need the best; they need the crew and Troopers EMFC Reclaimer.
When the Reclaimer engages on Masoul, one thing becomes immediately clear . . . Masoul might just be the beginning.
Another wonderful and humorous instalment in the Guesthouse on the Green series as Mammy and Moira travel Vietnam.
I love the series and can't wait for book four!
A quick but emotional read - reading about the cruelty to the dog was heartbreaking but this was a lovely tale of the love and healing that animals can bring to our lives.
I would have given five stars but for the missed typos - a few t...
I get the impression that this could be a nice story but I've had to give up after forcing myself to go as far as 15% of the way through. If this novel has ever been near a remotely professional editor then the author was conned.
Chapte...
Another very enjoyable story but with a few niggles, hence the four stars rather than five. Maybe it's because I was tired but the editing issues grated on me more than in the first story and, do people really generally believe that 'ear...
